Kingsbury Walkers
Kingsbury Walkers celebrated their 20th anniversary with a celebration lunch at the Green Man in February 2004. Norah Bostock writes that this was a very happy occasion enjoyed by all. 'We are grateful to Enid and Milly for starting the Walkers, which I joined soon afterwards. I remember when I first moved here in the early 'Seventies', I drove around one day exploring the area and found myself on a road which I later learnt was Fryent Way. I was surprised to discover countryside and thought 'oh wonderful' - somewhere to walk! - and so it was !' |
Kingsbury Walkers have attracted quite a few new walkers and anticipate blossom on the hedges and the wonderful sight of the Fryent Way daffodils. Norah adds: 'We see many herons and have recently found frog spawn. We are now looking forward to walking without the mud when going through the woods to Barn Hill Pond!'.
